Growing up with the music of Gladys Knight, Patti LaBelle,
Dianna Ross, and other strong black women, Kimmy Kearse knew
that a music career was exactly what she wanted to pursue.
Gifted with a tremendous soulful voice, she did just that.
Starting out by covering LaBelle at the Apollo Theatre in
the late 80 s, she scratched and crawled her way into the
studio so that she could record her own music. Her R&B trio
Kimmy and Klasse have made their presence known throughout
the independent R&B circuit and Kimmy s solo effort here shows
us why it s all about the smooth vocals.
