when Top 40 included every style being recorded then - the market
today is too fractured and has limited the listener's ability to
find good music. Older generations don't even buy music anymore
unless it's 'best of' cds from groups of the past.
The music industry today is pre-packaged happy meals.
Genres determine the wrapping and what restaurant chain
(Clear Channel Station) will carry you, if you can pay the
tarrif to be heard.
