In her formative years she began her musical journey by studying the viola and participating in the school chorus. Wanting to absorb more, she taught herself the guitar and piano and began to immerse herself in all different kinds of musical styles. From these experiences Lauren pursued a degree in Music Therapy at SUNY Fredonia. Today, she uses her talents to enrich the lives of adults with developmental disabilities. Lauren also enjoys meeting new people and singing the songs of her musical inspirations-Tori Amos, Joni Mitchell, Etta James, Bonnie Raitt and Janis Joplin. The influence of these legends also can be found in Lauren's original works which have become very popular with her ever-growing base of fans. Her new CD entitled in to the blue is available now.
