Biography

Tom Martin

Thomas J. Martin
Rochester, NY USA

Born January 26, 1958 in Rochester, NY.
My parents were William George and Dolores Phillips Martin.
I married Susan Lynne on July 24, 1982 and have a child, Jennifer Lynne.
I attended St. Monica’s and Spencerport High School.
I work at New York State Canal Corp.
I am a member with St. Lawrence Original recordings with such notables as
Hal Blaine on drums.
I am in the Distinguished Poets of America; The International Who’s Who in Poetry,
as well as other anthologies.

Recently self-published / available at Barnes & Noble Bookstore entitled
“If You Can’t Write Poetry, Live It”.
Future publications number fourteen and fifteen include a book on the Erie Canal
pending and Poetry Book “Rhymes For The Times”.
Original artwork of colored pencils exceed one hundred pieces.
I also enjoy collecting original fine oil paintings of such notables as Edward Horan.

As a child I had the unique experience of living only a few steps from the home
of the greatest musician, Chuck Mangione, and would stand in January gladly
listening from the neighbor’s back yard. And hooked I was. Many wonderful
friends who were musicians in Rochester inspired me to play, and as their rival,
I do not compare.

I believe that the natural order is
1. God 2. Family 3. Work 4. My Dog 5. Guitar

Thanks Sue!
